SUBSTITUTE’S BENCH FOR THE LOCAL FOOT- BALL CLUB Our employee Michael Fendl is a passionate football player and belongs to the team of supervisors at FSV Saulburg-Obermiethnach. At a training camp of the FSV in Pilsen, a very special idea was born: A Czech club had made substitute’s benches in the style of a beverage can. The Straubing lads were im- mediately excited! Together with other WILLIG colleagues, Mi- chael Fendl got down to work. “Outside of our working hours, we have worked diligent- ly on the substitute’s bench after the produc- tion of our tank trucks”, he claims. WILLIG has gladly made available the necessary ma- terial as well as the corresponding machines. About 200 man hours were needed until the coolest substitute’s bench in Germany were built, painted and foiled. No wonder: The two oversized halved beverage cans are each 4.50 meters long and about 2.20 me- ters high. Since this spring, the two cans, one of them with WILLIG advertising, are found on the sidelines in Obermiethnach. A real eye-cat- cher! At the end of February 2019, we picked up our new tarpaulin semitrailer from Fliegl Fahrzeug- bau GmbH. The vehicle is used for the trans- portation of tanks, floors and all materials for the production. Moreover, we acquired a new Toyota forklift in March 2019. This will enable the high rack warehouse to be operated on the open-air site in the Straubing works and in production. The forklift is very manoeuvrable, it has a lifting capacity of 1.8 tonnes and a lifting height of up to six meters with an additional fork po- sitioner. WILLIG has a service branch in Seefeld near Berlin since the year 2000. In the beginning the facilities were rented and we aquired them two years ago. Since then we have made significant investments. A major concern was to improve the space conditions for our customers as well as for our employees. Luckily the company Hoyer Mine- ralöl Logistik has offered us available rooms in the adjacent building. Earlier this year we started with the breakthrough and the building alterations to equip the rooms according to our needs. A changing room, sanitary fittings and a break and meeting room were created. Diverse accessoires in the WILLIG design completed the rooms and accomplished a comfortable atmosphere for costumers and employees. Now the location is well prepared for the future! Record numbers were again achieved for the 10th Straubing Herzogstadtlauf, on Sunday, 19 May 2019 in Straubing: 5.300 participants star- ted this year's jubilee race. Also included was a 12-member WILLIG team. Our colleagues deci- ded on the 5 km fitness run and the 5 kmWalking Cup and completed both these races in perfect weather conditions. In addition, WILLIG sponso- red the running shirts of the Kinder-Spatzenlauf for over 700 participants. We thank the organizers and especially our as- siduous WILLIG runners.
